BPFTP Client (Windows) / Registration Issues
     Does BPFTP contain spyware?
No BPFTP does not call home, as any spyware web site (which lists programs that do this) will tell you, as will any testing of the program. Some people get the mistaken idea that BPFTP calls home because if people try and use a registration crack on it, BPFTP will detect the illegal registration and tell them so. BPFTP does not call-home to detect illegal registrations it just uses an internal mathematical trick to detect them. Naturally we don't have much sympathy for people who get the idea that BPFTP calls-home by pirating our software! ;)
